And she bore them to the world. Her children, not unlike those of the womb, only her womb was time and space. Knowledge, the collective, light and dark, all things between. The snakes saw like she did. Particles of a thousand stars filling the hearts of those captivated by them, changing minds forever. She saw life flicker like the light of a candle, and in the length of a breath generations passing. Through all that came and went before her eyes one thing remained. The testament of the soul. Her children carried through them all, unchanging and changing all the same. Coils of the snake rested in the heart, carried from mother to child, endlessly.
